What the work involvesMuch of south Vallejo was built before 1960, and winter wind off the Mare Island Strait finds every gap. Drafty doors and windows push up heating bills for households that can least afford them. Weatherstripping is a same-day fix an ordinary person can do.
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.
Steps
- Walk the home with the occupant and mark every draft with painter's tape, using a lit incense stick to find air movement.
- Cut and press adhesive weatherstrip to door jambs and operable window sashes.
- Install door sweeps on exterior doors with gaps at the threshold.
- Re-test each opening for drafts and note the difference for the occupant.
- Photograph each sealed opening and the completed room list.
What counts as done
- Before and after photo of at least three sealed openings
- Photo of the completed opening checklist with date
- GPS-tagged photo at the home with occupant consent noted
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
The standard this serves
DIY Weatherization and Air Sealing. Air sealing is the cheapest energy work there is, and the Department of Energy has spent decades proving it: a tube of caulk and a roll of weatherstrip, placed where the cold actually comes in, beat almost any gadget you can buy. This standard keeps the work occupant-safe: no wiring, no combustion equipment, no disturbing old paint. Mastery looks like hands that can find a draft with a bare palm and close it for good. This packet is one home's worth of that: find the gaps, seal them, photograph the proof.
What is promised, and what is not.
Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1788400849830_tdzr7rz","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.
An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
