Steps

1. Confirm approved planting sites and species with the city's street-tree list before digging.
2. Call 811 utility locate and dig each hole twice the root-ball width at planting depth.
3. Set each tree with the root flare at grade, backfill, water in with 15 gallons, and stake loosely.
4. Build a mulch basin 3 inches deep kept off the trunk.
5. Photograph each planted tree with the bus stop in frame and log the species and location.
