What the work involvesWindow air conditioners are how many Bloomington households survive triple-digit summers, but the gaps around the units leak cool air out and let dust and hot air in. Foam seal kits around each unit are cheap and make the same machine cool better for less money. For families near the truck corridors this also cuts the dust that gets indoors.
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.
Steps
- Inspect each window unit with the occupant and note gaps, missing side panels, and daylight showing around the frame.
- Fit foam side-panel seals and top-sash foam on each unit.
- Seal remaining edge gaps with removable rope caulk.
- Check the unit still drains and tilts slightly outward.
- Photograph each sealed unit with GPS and date and list the units serviced.
What counts as done
- Before photos showing gaps around units
- After photos of sealed units with GPS and date
- Count of units sealed
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
The standard this serves
DIY Weatherization and Air Sealing. Air sealing is the cheapest energy work there is, and the Department of Energy has spent decades proving it: a tube of caulk and a roll of weatherstrip, placed where the cold actually comes in, beat almost any gadget you can buy. This standard keeps the work occupant-safe: no wiring, no combustion equipment, no disturbing old paint. Mastery looks like hands that can find a draft with a bare palm and close it for good. This packet is one home's worth of that: find the gaps, seal them, photograph the proof.
What is promised, and what is not.
Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1788401107115_lnjth4u","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.
An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
