  1. Walk the home with the resident and mark bar positions at the toilet, shower, and any step.
  2. Anchor grab bars into studs or with rated hollow-wall anchors at the marked heights.
  3. Fit a rubber or aluminum threshold ramp at the raised entry.
  4. Load-test every bar hard and walk the ramp with the resident.
  5. Photograph each installed bar and the ramp with GPS and date.
