What the work involves

Susanville's homes and gardens on the open sage flats take the high-desert wind full force, which strips soil, kills gardens, and pulls winter heat straight out of houses. A row of hardy natives (junipers, desert peach, basin wildrye) planted on an invited lot's windward edge grows into decades of shelter for the home behind it.

This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash — recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Steps

  1. Confirm the owner's invitation, mark the row on the windward edge, and photograph the site.
  2. Dig planting holes at the plan spacing, twice the root-ball width.
  3. Set each plant crown at grade, backfill, and water in deeply.
  4. Build basins, mulch each plant, and stake the taller stock loosely against the wind.
  5. Photograph the planted row and log species and spacing.

What counts as done

  • Before photo of the bare edge with GPS and date
  • After photos of the planted, basined, staked row
  • Species and spacing log

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

The standard this serves

Tree Planting and Establishment. Planting a tree properly is a codified craft, and the arborists' standards are blunt about why: most young trees that die were killed at planting, by a hole dug too deep, a root ball left bound, a first summer without water. Mastery looks like trees you planted years ago still standing, which is the only measure arborists accept. The craft lives in exactly the steps this packet asks for: the wide shallow hole, the freed roots, the mulch kept off the trunk, the watering that follows. Plant one tree correctly and you know something real.

The money and the proof

What is promised, and what is not.

Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1788403615561_eo0cl1j","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
