What the work involves

Cape Town's water-wise gardening movement grew directly out of the 2018 drought, and Khayelitsha households are increasingly asked to swap thirsty lawn for low-water indigenous fynbos-style planting. A built water-wise bed shows what that swap looks like on one plot.
