Steps

1. Confirm the planting spot is clear of underground and overhead utility lines with the host or local utility-locate service.
2. Dig a planting hole sized to the root ball using hand tools.
3. Set the young tree at the right depth and backfill.
4. Water in thoroughly and stake if needed.
5. Photograph the finished planting with a GPS pin.
