What the work involves

Los Angeles trades crews work long hot shifts and go home dehydrated and under-slept; heat illness and quick returns under 11 hours (Vedaa 2016) erode working capacity over a season. Nobody hosts the recovery; the worker is left to it.

This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash — recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.

Proof
session log within 30 min of shift end in shade/cool room + fluids in ml with method (mass change or urine colour) + heat-illness symptom check recorded (red flags absent or routed) + next-shift start and planned sleep window recorded, quick return under 11 h flagged

This is exactly what gets it approved. Nothing settles without it.

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Bring

  • a shaded or cooled place to sit, with a chair and a place to put feet up
  • cool drinking water and an electrolyte option, with cups or bottles measured (a 500 ml bottle counts)
  • a bathroom scale for pre/post-shift body mass where the worker agrees (rehydration by mass change), or a written urine-colour check as the fallback
  • a warm meal or substantial snack, and a simple log (shift start/end, heat level, fluids taken, symptoms, next-shift start time)

Steps

  1. 1. Meet the worker at shift end; move to shade or the cool room first, before anything else. Ask how the shift was and whether anything hurt; this is hospitality, not an inspection.
  2. 2. Run the heat-illness symptom check from the NIOSH signs: confusion, slurred speech, loss of consciousness, seizure, or hot skin with very heavy or absent sweating means heat stroke — call emergency services now and cool the person while waiting. Headache, dizziness, nausea, weakness, heavy sweating, cramps mean heat exhaustion — rest, cool, sip fluids, and route to a clinician if not improving within 30 minutes.
  3. 3. Rehydrate in measured sips over the rest period: with a pre-shift mass on record, about 1.5 litres per kilogram lost (ACSM 2007); without one, steady sips toward pale-straw urine, never large volumes of plain water in a rush.
  4. 4. Serve the warm meal; sit 20 minutes with feet up. Conversation, not questions.
  5. 5. Plan the sleep window: at least 11 hours between this shift's end and the next start (Vedaa 2016); if the roster does not allow it, note it in the log as a hazard the worker can raise, and plan the earliest possible sleep.
  6. 6. Log fluids, meal, rest, symptoms and the next-shift start; the log belongs to the worker, never the employer.

What counts as done

  • Session started within 30 minutes of shift end, in a shaded or cooled space
  • Fluids taken recorded in millilitres, with the rehydration method named (mass change or urine colour)
  • Heat-illness symptom check recorded; every red flag absent or routed as the rule says
  • Next-shift start time and planned sleep window recorded; any quick return under 11 hours flagged

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

The money and the proof

What is promised, and what is not.

Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1788466881902_qn1e2rs","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
