1. 1. Confirm the site and work plan with Brazos Bend State Park staff before starting; this is public parkland in occupied American alligator habitat.
2. 2. Photograph the canopy gap before starting, from the same vantage used in the survey. Confirm the planting site is more than 100 feet from any lake margin.
3. 3. Immediately beside the maintained trail tread, hand dig planting holes with hand tools only and plant native bottomland hardwood or bald cypress seedlings at the design spacing.
4. 4. Hand mulch the plantings and photograph the finished gap from the matching before vantage, recording species and count.
