1. 1. Confirm the site and work plan with Sea Rim State Park staff before starting; this is public Texas Parks and Wildlife Department parkland on a chenier ridge with adjoining marsh and beach.
2. 2. Photograph the eroding ridge or dune edge before starting, from the same vantage used in the survey. American alligators and venomous cottonmouth snakes are present in the marsh surrounding the ridge, boardwalk, and roadside; stay on the maintained surface at all times, never approach, crowd, corner, feed, or bait any wildlife under any circumstance, at any skill level.
3. 3. Working from the boardwalk or dune top only, hand install native plantings or coir erosion control matting at the top edge of the eroding stretch, never stepping down into the marsh or onto the exposed bank below.
4. 4. Photograph the finished install from the matching before vantage.
