2. 2. Photograph the bare shoreline-upland margin before starting, from the same vantage used in the survey.
3. 3. Hand dig planting holes for native salt-tolerant vegetation (inland saltgrass, alkali sacaton) on the shoreline upland only, staying well back from the playa lake bed at all times.
4. 4. Set the plants at grade, backfill, and water in, hand tools only, then photograph the finished planting.
