What the work involves

An audit of one public hospital's own food spend found 55% of its 'Australian' food budget had unknown regional origin because suppliers could not or would not provide the data (Faulkner 2022, Front Nutr) — hospital food provenance is routinely untraceable, not routinely verified. A Los Angeles County hospital, care home or community kitchen can source instead from a farm whose own regenerative practice already has a SETTLED soil, water or canopy packet on this board, making the meal's provenance a verified record instead of a claim.

This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash — recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.

Proof
the source farm's own settled ecological packet cited by ID (soil_health / watershed_health / drinking_water_safety / urban_canopy, status SETTLED, not merely posted) + the ecological library's own michelin_ingredient_provenance proof (sourcing spec approved by the receiving kitchen, source-verification photos, time/temperature custody log with GPS, receiving kitchen's signed acceptance) + this packet's own procurement-labor log (hours, vetting steps, paperwork) + the farm's own packet price and this packet's own labor price logged as TWO separate amounts, never combined + red flags recorded absent or routed

This is exactly what gets it approved. Nothing settles without it.

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Bring

  • the source farm's own settled ecological work-packet ID and its SETTLED status confirmed (soil_health, watershed_health/drinking_water_safety, or urban_canopy) — checked BEFORE any sourcing begins
  • a sourcing spec approved by the receiving kitchen before pickup, matching the michelin_ingredient_provenance standard's own requirements
  • a camera or phone for source-verification photos (producer, the actual lot, harvest/landing date, variety, practice) and a way to log GPS waypoints
  • a time/temperature monitoring tool for the cold-chain custody log from pickup to delivery, and a procurement-labor log (hours, vetting steps, paperwork) kept separate from the farm's own settlement

Steps

  1. 1. Identify the candidate farm or producer and confirm their own regenerative ecological work packet is SETTLED on this board (soil_health, watershed_health/drinking_water_safety, or urban_canopy) — not merely posted or claimed. If no settled packet exists, this sourcing cannot be called verified-provenance; route the farm to post and settle its own packet first, or source elsewhere.
  2. 2. Get the receiving kitchen's sourcing spec approved before pickup (what, how much, when needed, any diet-order or allergen constraints already in place at the kitchen).
  3. 3. Visit the farm, photograph the actual lot with its producer, harvest date, variety and growing practice, and record the GPS waypoint.
  4. 4. Maintain the time/temperature custody log from pickup through delivery, with GPS waypoints source to kitchen.
  5. 5. Deliver to the receiving kitchen and obtain their signed acceptance; log any grading or condition issue at receipt.
  6. 6. Log this packet's own procurement-labor hours and steps separately from the farm's own settlement; route anything not the coordinator's own to handle per the decision rules.

What counts as done

  • The source farm's own settled ecological packet ID cited (soil_health, watershed_health/drinking_water_safety, or urban_canopy) with its SETTLED status confirmed, not merely posted or claimed
  • The ecological library's own michelin_ingredient_provenance proof completed: sourcing spec approved by the receiving kitchen, source-verification photos (producer, lot, harvest date, variety, practice), time/temperature custody log with GPS waypoints, and the receiving kitchen's signed acceptance
  • This packet's own procurement-labor log (hours spent, vetting steps taken, paperwork completed), priced separately from and never combined with the farm's own settled-packet price
  • Every decision-rule red flag recorded as absent or routed as the rule says

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

The money and the proof

What is promised, and what is not.

Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1788498241391_ryxiwgr","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
