Steps

1. 1. Photograph the fence line before starting, from the same public vantage used in the survey.
2. 2. Confirm with the WMA biologist that the segment is cleared for removal and that no bighorn are near the work area. This work never approaches, follows, herds, or photographs bighorn sheep at close range, and never uses a drone; if bighorn are visibly using a water source, withdraw immediately and do not begin or continue any work there while they are present.
3. 3. Using fencing pliers and hand tools, cut and roll the tensioned wire under control, then pull posts, staying well clear of any escape terrain. This work never climbs, scrambles onto, or otherwise works on escape terrain, the steep rock desert bighorn sheep use specifically because predators cannot follow; every observation here is made from the public road, a designated pull-off, or the WMA's public access area, using binoculars or a spotting scope, never on foot on the terrain itself.
4. 4. Haul the removed wire and posts to the designated collection point, and photograph the open, fence free corridor.
