What the work involvesA cleaned or increase-plot Maximilian sunflower (Helianthus maximiliani) seed lot with an unknown germination rate and no durable label cannot be responsibly offered to the next restoration planting; testing, labeling, and cool dry storage turns it into a usable, provenance-tracked seed supply.
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.
Steps
- 1. Take a small counted sample (for example 50 seeds) from the cleaned or increase-plot Maximilian sunflower (Helianthus maximiliani) seed lot and set a germination test: seeds spaced on a damp paper towel inside a labeled, sealed bag or tray, kept at room temperature out of direct sun.
- 2. Check the germination test on a set schedule (every 2 to 3 days for 2 to 3 weeks) and count and record the number of seeds that germinate.
- 3. Calculate the germination rate (germinated seeds divided by seeds tested) and label the seed lot's storage container with the species, ecoregion of origin, collection or increase date, and germination rate. The ecoregion and general site of origin of every collected seed lot is recorded at the moment of collection and travels with that lot, on its label, through cleaning, increase, and storage; collected seed is never moved outside the ecoregion it came from at any stage, because local adaptation only works if the seed stays local.
- 4. Store the labeled seed lot in a cool, dry, dark spot (a sealed jar in a closet, never a damp or hot location) and photograph the finished, labeled, stored lot.
What counts as done
- Written or recorded permission from the resident
- Germination test setup photo and germinated-seed count recorded
- Confirmation that this job's seed lot was collected only after permission was obtained first from the managing public agency, and never from a stand that was small or of a rare, threatened, or conservation-concern species; that no more than one in five (20 percent) of the available seed was ever taken from the wild stand, with the estimated total and fraction taken recorded; that no precise coordinate of the individual collected stand was ever published; that the ecoregion and general site of origin travel with the seed lot and it was never moved outside that ecoregion; and that nothing was co
- Calculated germination rate recorded
- Photo of the finished, labeled (species, ecoregion, date, germination rate), stored seed lot
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
What is promised, and what is not.
Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1788671243608_dss45e6","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.
An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
