What the work involves

The San Ardo Water District's small public water system has a history of aging asbestos-cement distribution main, and no household-level record exists of which service lines show a spinning meter or wet ground that could point to a leak losing real water on this small system.

This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash: recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.

Proof

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Bring

  • flow-rate measurement bag + timer
  • toilet dye tablets
  • moisture meter
  • GPS / address
  • camera
  • tablet / data sheet

Steps

  1. 1. Confirm the address; get a staff escort; photograph each fixture group.
  2. 2. Measure flow rate at each faucet/shower with the bag-and-timer method; record gallons per minute (gpm).
  3. 3. Test each toilet for leaks with a dye tablet (wait 10 min, check for color in the bowl); record flush volume.
  4. 4. Inspect fixtures, meters, and irrigation for visible leaks/drips; note each.
  5. 5. Read the water meter with all fixtures off; note any movement (indicates a hidden leak).
  6. 6. Rank WaterSense fixture upgrades + leak repairs by estimated water/cost savings.
  7. 7. Record flow rates, leak results, meter check, ranked measures, and photos into the proof record; sign.

What counts as done

  • Photo of the exterior meter box and visible piping taken from the yard/curb
  • Observation noted: meter spinning with no fixtures running, or visible wet ground/pooling near the box
  • GPS / address confirm
  • Ranked note naming the follow-on leak-repair job for each flagged site

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

The standard this serves

Water Efficiency. Water efficiency is the quiet discipline of wasting nothing indoors. The EPA's WaterSense program sets the marks: how many gallons a minute a faucet should pass, how to find the leak that runs a toilet all night, how a household's water bill tells a story. Mastery looks like an auditor who can walk a home in an hour and find every hidden gallon. The skill is built one fixture at a time, which is exactly what this packet asks: measure one flow, find one leak, record one truth about where the water goes.

The money and the proof

What is promised, and what is not.

Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1788753347277_fhpntpi","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
