- Declare the compute cap (tokens or dollars) on the receipt before the first prompt. It bounds the session; it is not the price of the hour. Note the start time.
- Read the current state from the repository and the live surfaces, not from memory. Write one line of assumption and one line of success criterion.
- Build the smallest change that meets the criterion. Patch what exists, touch only the files it needs, keep every gate exactly as strong as you found it.
- Run the checks the repository names for that surface and keep their real output. A green you did not see is not a green.
- Commit on your own worktree, push your verified commit to the canonical branch, sync main. Record every commit hash on the receipt.
- Write the receipt: before, change, checks and their output, what is still not done, the field step served. Add the parity marker. Anchor the receipt hash in the priority-proof registry.
- Record the end: keyboard hours with breaks out, spend against the cap, one line on whether the field step is nearer. An honest overrun is proof; a silent one is not.
- Submit the proof with hours claimed, then hand it to a person who is neither you nor the house. Their acceptance makes the hours stewardship hours; nothing you write about yourself does.

What is promised, and what is not
Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage.
