- 1. Confirm the treatment reach with city parks staff and photograph the gully as found before starting.
- 2. Cut coir matting to the gully's width and pin it flush against the channel bed and banks with wood or metal stakes.
- 3. Build small hand-placed rock or log check dams at intervals down the gully to slow flow and catch sediment.
- 4. Photograph the finished installation from the matching before vantage and record the number of check dams placed.
