- 1. Confirm the treatment segment with Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority park staff and photograph the invasive-growth-encroached shoreline before starting.
- 2. Hand-cut and bag invasive shoreline growth with hand tools only, no power equipment.
- 3. Plant native riparian shrubs and grasses along the shoreline at the design spacing, working from the stable bank edge only.
- 4. Water in and mulch the planting, photograph the finished shoreline from the matching before vantage, and record species and count.

The standard this serves
Watershed Health. A watershed is everything the land pours into a stream, and the stream keeps the record. The EPA's bioassessment method reads that record through the small creatures living in the gravel: mayflies and caddisflies mean clean water, only worms and midges mean trouble.
