- 1. Coordinate the visit with the cemetery authority and photograph the eroded rut or blocked swale before starting.
- 2. Hand clear leaf litter, silt, and debris from the existing drainage swale or low spot with a rake, working entirely from the surface.
- 3. Hand redistribute already-loose gravel from the rut back onto the bare path crown so water sheds off the path surface again; no new material is brought in and no digging or grading is performed.
- 4. Photograph the cleared, redistributed path surface from the matching before vantage.
