- 2. If the answer names rodenticide bait, confirm in writing with the resident that the bait will be discontinued or removed by their own staff or a licensed pest control provider before the box is sited, and record that agreement.
- 3. Walk the nearest structure within the hunting radius and identify rodent-sized entry gaps at foundation vents, utility penetrations, and door thresholds; photograph each gap before sealing.
- 4. Seal the identified gaps with hand tools and exclusion material (galvanized mesh, sealant, door sweeps as appropriate), then photograph the sealed gaps and record the rodenticide-to-exclusion agreement as the completed siting prerequisite.
