All of it: the words, the place, the proof

This is the ecological heart of the whole vein: a stationary flock strips its run to bare, compacted dirt that sheds water instead of soaking it in, while a flock that is rotated between two paddocks lets the rested side regrow cover and build soil. Right now this coop has only one run with nowhere to rotate to, so building a second, predator-proofed paddock with a simple gate or movable divider between the two is what makes rotation possible at all.

Fund it for $280. Proof lands onchain when it's done.

Pay
$280 proposed

This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash: recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.

Proof
resident-permission record + local-ordinance confirmation + before/after photos + apron footage record + gate/divider confirm + GPS

This is exactly what gets it approved. Nothing settles without it.

How this work is done

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Steps

  1. 1. Confirm with the resident, and with Mount Vernon city government or Franklin County (whichever governs this address), that local ordinance and lot coverage allow the expanded footprint before any construction step begins. Photograph the single existing run and the open ground beside it before starting.
  2. 2. Lay out a second paddock of roughly the same footprint as the existing run, sharing a fence line, and set posts by hand tools only.
  3. 3. Fence the new paddock with half-inch hardware cloth matching rung 1's predator-proofing standard, including a buried or skirted apron along its outer perimeter (hand-dug, a few inches deep, call 811 first).
  4. 4. Install a simple gate or a lightweight movable divider panel between the two paddocks so the flock can be shifted from one side to the other, and photograph the finished two-paddock layout with the gate/divider in place.
  5. 5. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water immediately after any contact with the coop, run, litter, or compost, and wear dedicated boots or shoes for this chore that stay outside and never come indoors.

What counts as done

  • Written or recorded permission from the resident
  • Confirmation that local ordinance and lot coverage were checked before construction began
  • Before photo of the single existing run and the open ground beside it
  • After photo of the completed second paddock, its buried/skirted apron, and the gate or divider between the two sides

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

The standard this serves

Edible Garden Cultivation. Edible garden cultivation is food growing done to the standards the land-grant universities have refined for a century: healthy soil in tested beds, the right crop in the right season, hand tools, patience, and records. Mastery looks like a Master Gardener's plot, beds that feed a family most of the year from a piece of ground the size of a parking space. Every gardener who reaches that point started with a single bed and a single season. This packet is that start: one bed built or tended properly, one honest note about what happened.

What is promised, and what is not

Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1789313291127_jnpdswc","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.

Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee. Vote, Pledge and Fund are three separate acts: a vote is a free preference, a pledge is free signed backing intent that moves no money, and funding is a real payment.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.

Other acts: vote, pledge, fund
