Steps
- 1. Confirm the pile's original footprint and clearance distance still hold, and photograph its current, settled state before starting.
- 2. Walk the property and gather any freshly fallen branches or limbs since the last visit, by hand only, no power tool or cutting tool.
- 3. Add the fresh material to the loose, crisscrossed pile, refreshing gaps and hollows rather than packing the pile solid.
- 4. Photograph the topped-up pile from the matching before vantage and record the date and the approximate volume of material added.
