Steps
- 1. Stand on the public sidewalk or street shoulder outside the site's perimeter fence.
- 2. Photograph the street and the nearest storm drain inlet, noting whether any sediment, mud, or discoloration is visible on the pavement or at the grate.
- 3. Do not enter the site or cross the perimeter fence for any part of this.
- 4. If sediment is visible, note its approximate location and report it to the general contractor's site supervisor or the city, rather than touching or clearing it.
- 5. Record the date and the rain event this observation followed.
